    Default Optus D2 Issues

Recentlly a number of D2 channels have disappeared, some temporarily and some completely. Those which have gone and returned later include BYN, Vietface ,some religious channels ,Abu Dhabi and Oman TV.
Those which seem to have completelg gone are Ifilm, Press TV, JameJam and RT. (RT is still on Intelsat 19)
Does anyone know why this is happening?
    Cheers.

The Iranian channels are out, I think due to USA bitching.

Rt left. I emailed and got a reply that they had left D2.

If you are having problems with BVN, it may be a shorted DiSEqC switch.
If you short out the output of a DiSEqC switch it becomes "ON" full time.
So when you switch from D1 to D2 and the D1 is "ON" due to a short, you will get both the TP's from D1 AND D2.
As BVN is on H polarity and all the Sky / FTA NZ stuff is also H, the two TP's, 12609 h 22500, block each other.

This can also happen with other equipment / cross over, like Terrestrial / Sat splitter combiners.

Channels on D2 mostly have 2 or 3 year contracts. Over the years theres been dozens of channel that have come and gone. ITs just how it tends to be with cheap distribution theses days over iptv etc.
