those c/ku lnbs that are of very limited use nowadays can be quite useful
separate the ku bit and pack it into a c band scalar ring and works well
used slices of 50mm drainpipe to make a C and smaller c s
the c band one can be used as is on another dish or discarded
I found the Ku / C LNB very fussy re being pointed at the center of the dish to get the Ku part to work.
What were you pointing your new Ku LNB at? 12395 v 20106 on Optus D1 maybe?
had the idea ages ago and used it on a 1m2 dish which seems a tad small for 12396
on the combined c/ku lnb the ku bit is too far in to see anything properly and then c and ku often have different skews
and the ku lnb is a prime focus type which comes in handy
Well they are only good if used firstly on a solid dish, and secondly the KU is definatley a bit deaf so a large dish is good.
They are a trade off system.

the ku bit of a c/ ku combined lnb works well once separated
