Currently EIA-708B & EIA-608 standard was supported in MPEG2 video. But ,MPEG4 supports EIA-708B standard or not,i am not sure about this. Need Confirmation from you.we are following these standards for closed captioning.

Need Confirmation from you.we are following these standards for closed captioning.The EIA-708B & EIA-608 standards describe closed captions as used in North America, where the digital television standards are based on MPEG2. I've seen no formal discussion of North America moving to MPEG4, so its unlikely you'll have to worry about it.
Most countries outside of North America use DVB, which has an entirely different mechanism for subtitles (not related to EIA-608/708). The same is true for both MPEG2 and MPEG4 DVB broadcasts. This DVB Subtitle mechanism is defined in the "EN 300743" specification.
