The Haute is meant to be bit of a dog, however the Hyundai is supposidly quite good.
Have you considered the Draco HDTV5500? I have one and it's very good, no issues to speak of except for a faulty power supply in my first one. However that was replaced no questions asked and I've had no other issues in the 5 months I've had it. If you want one get hold of Glenn at www.dbnz.co.nz for a price. I paid around $350 for mine.

The Draco seems to be the pick of the bunch IMHO as far as approved boxes goes. It went well straight out of the box and the service I had from Glenn at DBNZ was outstanding. It's a bit more expensive than the ET or DSE boxes but IMHO you get what you pay for. :D

I have a Draco. Apart from being into my third power supply technically it's been a really robust STB. Pity they don't have a DVR..

There may be a Draco PVR on the way later this year. In DBNZ's Jan newsletter they mentioned they were looking at getting a Draco PVR sorted (internal hdd and cheaper than the Zinwell PVR). Fingers crossed.

I purchased an ET box late last October - sounded ok and had the promise of being able to record. Took the first one back because it just kept rebooting all the time - crazy pixelation as well. Second box not a lot different. Paid money for a Aerial guy to check out my signal etc. He reckoned it was a good strong signal - should be fine - 'try and get your money back' (his words).
Borrowed another ET box from a friend - definitely MUCH more stable - but also running much older software - some people reckoned the ET box has got worse with some later software....
Still hanging out for recording software (vapourware it seems) and the hope another release may fix the pixelation issue (but suspect its probably a hardware issue).
Have got quite put off the whole HDTV experience now. 'Some' people have ET boxes that are working ok - But there seem to be quite a lot with issues as well (strangely - often people who claim a strong signal) - Choose brands carefully (Freeview approved is probably a good idea) and make sure you can get a complete refund if not happy!
