I think I read somewhere sky is intending on switching their UHF service off in 2011 (correct me if I'm wrong).
Would sky likely use these UHF chans for anything else will Freeview likely inherit them?

Think I read some where they were to be re auctioned by the MED / RSM
as DTT channels

Sky have asked if they can retain these frequencies for their own pay DTT network.

My preference would be to provide freeview with an additional 1-2 multiplexes.

Would they be able to get all their channels the space of 5 uhf channels?

I thought they would of just stuck to satellite only

They would want to use their 5 UHF channels to provide 30+ digital channels

under the auction process they would have first rights at renewal
and possibly as DTT

I suspect a Sky run pay DTT network may raise the eyebrows of the CC if they still exist by then..
