Second PSU seems to have died since I got this thing. Came home last nite and the unit was dead , No LEDs on the front panel and the PSU was hot and had a burnt smell like last time. Turned off over nite but nothing this morning..

Anyone else go one of these that has burned out the PSU?? One of the people I work with go one at the same time and his burned out in November. Guess Draco can make a STB that is technicall reliable as far as a DTV receiver goes but lack something with the choice of PSU design or supplier..

If by PSU you mean power supply my Draco HDTV5500 which I got late last year started making a whistling noise a couple of weeks ago. It was still working fine but the whistling noise was driving me nuts. I gave Glenn at DBNZ a call and he confirmed that some earlier Draco's had some issues with the power supply, mine included, which had recently been sorted. He sent a replacement to me the following day, no questions asked and I now have a nice quiet Draco. Great service from DBNZ. :D

The power supply on my Draco 6300 went about a month ago. I had the choice of a new power supply being couriered to me or I take it in.

I understand there are some issues with the earlier Draco 6300 power supply.

I took it in since I wanted to upgrade to the Freeview approved software version. There were no ifs or buts, they just replaced it, without question.
