hi
I'm wondering where to advertise to attract newbie Digital TV users to this forum.
Currently most of the members are experienced users.

It would be great to have people who are new to this field to join the community.

Any ideas?

Indeed, why not go through the installer list on the freeview site, and send them some flyers to hand out to customers when they install (or even get inquiries for) kit.

Dunno, but how about putting a message on:

the freeview mailing list (a poxy yahoo group as far as I know)
nz.comp newsgroup
geekzone.co.nz
the gbpvr forum (there must be one)
reven.co.nz (reven writes an xmltv dscript for electronic program guides that work on gbpvr and mythtv)

I have already posted to the mythtv-nz mailing list

Ensure that the site is registered with the likes of Google etc
and make sure all the key words are available for the search engines to find.

See if TradeMe / Smile City have a public links section or if they would be willing to sponsor some web space to advertise the group.

Agreed in this day and age of Googling every thing it is a great help. Google is what introduced me personally to forums in the first place.
