Merry Xmas to you all here. Here's hoping that 2009 will be the year that HD TV finally gets going here. It's been a real disappointment so far on Freeview which is why I bought my HD STB..

1. More content in HD basically. i.e new series be bought in HD rather than SD which is what seems to be happening now.
2. TVNZ to use AC3 audio.
3. More movies in HD on all networks..
4. Local sport in HD. That's the stuff that's still available to the FTA broadcasters.

Sky seems to have more HD content in one day than TVNZ and Mediaworks have in a week..

More sport in HD, well TVNZ has Wimbledon.. you should really expect that in HD. With SDTV feed on D1.

and yeah I've already jotted down a few predictions ;)

My HD wishes for the new year are...

1. More HD content (maybe even some movies!)
2. Some new channels on FreeviewHD (and 3+1 dumped)
3. A PVR firmware upgrade for the Zinwell 620 stb
4. PlayTV
