TVNZ 6 Difficulty

Has anyone experienced any difficulty with TVNZ 6 being loaded in a new setup ? ie new receiver out of box or after a factory reset or re install ??

It appears some receivers do not load TVNZ 6

but my 4654X and 7710 are both OK

Tried manually adding the channel PID/VID/AID numbers?

I believe thats the only way to do it but it should store auto .
I also heard some complaint of warble on the audio of tvnz 6 too

Aha! My Topfield TF6400IR shows a $ sign on TVNZ 6 as if it's broadcasting with the encrypted flag set. This might be why some STBs don't pick it up? What happens if one includes encrypted channels in a Network Search, then delete all the unviewable channels e.g. Sky, etc.?

I've taken a look at the stream with a PC and I can't see any reason for the channel to be flagged as encrypted.

Maybe they are getting confused with a data pid?

My Topfield 7710 does not show a $ on TVNZ 6 but it does on Reserved 7
and it shows D D on 2 of the reserved too

The reserved channels don't have a visibility flag entry in the NIT table. Hence some STBs might interpret them as being Pay or no present.

All of the live channels, including TVNZ6, have the correct flags set.

Not a scanning issue, but my old Humax 5400 didn't like TVNZ6 much either. Would usually lock the box up, and needed to be powered off to get it working again.

Haven't had that or the mentioned loading problems with my Coship or Dreambox though.

before i get on the roof is there a issue with tv3/c4 i cant get ether for last 2 days ???? everything else a ok :confused::confused:
