Freeview|HD in Timaru...

I know this is an out-of-coverage area for DTT, but having visited Waimate recently, I noticed several houses with 91el aerials pointing toward Sugarloaf from Timaru - and even one in Waimate (almost 200kms away)!

I reckon they were put in for Sky UHF years back, but would be interested to know whether anyone has done any testing in Timaru or Waimate for DTT?

Surely if they had a reasonable analogue service from Sugarloaf, maybe DTT may also be a goer?

problem is often the channel is used by analouge locally or adjacent sites , rather than just distance

Test Transmissions from Cave Hill have been going for a couple of weeks now - a bit on and off. Initially this was just the JDA & TVNZ Muxes, but all three seems to be doing something now.
