The TV is Freeview certified dso it will have a NZ EPG.

I read somewhere that there is a Optical digital audio output that will pass both analog PCM and DD5.1.

Have a look here it may help.

Yes I have the 40 W
Very nice set DTT tuner is great there is fibre out
the tuner also provides L+R audio and CVBS for recording to SD DVD

The EPG also responds faster than the Zinwell
Latest OTA update went fine too

yes it provides D D on the Fibre Out .
decodes TV3 DD on My Cinema Amp and comes up DD 5.1

on the other channels it comes up 48.000 Khz PCM

The instructions in the user guide are mainly for Australia
so could be a bit confusing !!

Yeah I have a 32' Model - its great. Seems like relatively futureproof TV, lots of ins/outs - with built in FreeviewHD it's one less remote, one less power cable - one more spare input.

provided nothing serious changes to the format

early adopters in UK and Europe could find themselves
with outdated gear very soon :D:D:D:D

Noticed in one blurb sheet that you can get "Picture and Picture" which is a TV program and another video source of your own choice: and "Picture in Picture" which is a TV program and a PC monitor.
Can it do what I understood to be Picture in Picture which was 2 separate TV programs (e.g. tv1 and 3 on the same screen) at the same time ??

Just noticed that Noel Leeming have them at $2639.99 for Labour weekend.
Disclaimer: I have nothing to do with NL.(except; at that price I might be a customer)

So how much better than the V is the W ??

And then the W @ $3100 something is quite good value too.
