It may say that but I dont think its possible to have transmissions on adjacent channels at the same site?
Is it active or not?

Don't forget it's only a very low power site. 100w max. 8MHz spacing on UHF, seems reasonable considering TV1 & C4 via KauKau are on adjacent channels at much higher power (10kW & 2 kW respectively), and much lower in the band, Ch 1 & 2 - 45.5 & 55.2 MHz.. 10MHz spacing.
Because TV1 is so much more powerful than C4, it was imperitive that an aerial more closely tuned to Ch2 be used in Wellington to decrease adjacent channel interference. The fact that both Tri & TV3 share the same low power levels, at an 8MHz spacing, I would have suspected this would be quite acceptable.
Consider parts of Wellington, under the shadow of KauKau who access their signal from either Baxters Knob and/or Fitzherbert. Places like Broadmeadows get a clear line of sight of both, yet both sites share the same frequencies - received at the same power levels, but different polarities. Often a lot of skill is required to get even halfway decent signals due to massive co-channel issues.
It would be interesting to see how ddt works in places like Broadmeadows...
