Remember how crap the picture and sound quality were during the Olympics on Sports Extra.?? Cought up on what they jokingly call dayx coverage of the Paralympics , a grand total of 42 minutes per day. But the PQ and sound is way better that the summer Olympics. hard to belive it's the same channel. So why then such crap coverage before??

either it was a low bit rate feed or it was poorly downscaled from the HD feed . What ever it was it was terrible thats for sure

i agree with paulw se is now normal sd . whilst the other olympics were on i emailed tvnz about the crap picture and they said that there were limitations in the technologies that they were unable to fix at the moment. about the only thing different is the absence of a hdd feed.
