I have a few of these available, new for $240. They are as they come out of the box with manufacturers image.

If you buy one of these you probably know its capabilities so I wont repeat here. You should have a working knowledge of ftp, Linux, networking etc. You will have to set up NZ satellites etc, google will help you :)

PM me if you are interested, I will courier/post to you for between $5-$10 or you can inspect before buying in Newmarket Auckland.

Thank you for your reply. This is real one. It has been setup but I like to move and delete some of the channels. I do not mind paying someone who can set it up properly. My contact is 021 2354494 or 09 2637989 after 6.00pm

Thank you for your reply. I am sure this a real one. I have got all the channels already but I would like to move them together the channels I want and delete the ones I don't want. I do not mind paying to have this sorted.

Weather its a Genuine 500 or Clone doesnt really make to much difference.
They both operate the same.
Ive passed on approx 150 Dm500s boxes over the last few years, all of which were clones, and have never had a problem.
There was one small hiccup a few months back with Gemini images basically rendering all clones useless..
Keep away from Gemini for the time being and you should be fine..

Pli images are what i usually run with..

Cheers:

if you are really badly after a DM500, the best place to go looking is eBay Australia.

There are some good sellers on there, and also some not so good ones.

Brand New Item
Dreambox DM500S Clone

This is a networkable Linux based satellite decoder.

Ability to schedule and record video to external drives.

Dreamboxes are generally used by people with some knowledge of networking, Linux etc. They're a little bit geeky! ... but very cool...and no bigger than a VHS cassette.

If you are brave and want to learn go here for some local setup instructions http://www.geekzone.co.nz/BarTender/3970

Please ask away if you have any questions or go here for manufacturers site http://www.dream-multimedia-tv.de/Bereiche/Produkt e/DM500.php

Please note these come without batteries for the remote and the power cord has a NZ travel adapter. We warranty these devices for 3 months however the remote and power supply come with start up warranty only as the power supplies on some clones are notoriously weak and we have not tested these adapters and remotes in service yet.

Please add $2 to freight price for RD Addresses

I do have a Dreambox 500-S and is working very well. The only problem I have is like moving channels in the order I want and deleting the channels I do not want. Can you help, I am willing to give my phone number or pay you for your time to assist me.

here is a good bit of software to do that - DreamboxEdit (http://dreambox.happyllama.com/)

DreamSet is also quite good, but not for editing channels.

I understand they will resolve the 4.2.2 format? I am trying to view a league game on D2 with my current box and can't get the video to resolve correctly. This is I understand due to the video format. Can you confirm please.?
