Does any one know where to get a switching power supply at a reasonable price
Next electronics have been out of stock since April and their pricing is outrageuous at 40++ each

whats the problem with it ?? have you changed the electrolytic caps ?
I think they are a sealed plugpack. Not good news if the caps are going after only 18 months. $40 sounds a normal price, aren't they rated about 1.6A?

Yes forgot its the DTT ones with internal power supply
the SAT ones were external plug pack
Just get a universal 12 volt rated at 1.5 to 2 amps
like on the earlier ADSL routers and Laptops

the Zinwells are rated 2A
The closest I have come is the Kaon 12v power pack
They are rated 2.5A so are OK according to the techs at Next
The only problem is the ID of the Kaon is too small
But a 2.5mm drill bit fixed that
I have had one running on the bench now for 12 hours no problems
