Interesting....
The hotlink on the front page of the satlinknz website says $275 retail.
The link that it goes to says $349 retail.
The post above says $295.

Still - Its interesting to see new models appearing.

euww-ewww! Anyone round here selling these yet?
I want a HD component out DTT set top box (that works) before the olympics.
The Zinwell I had has gone as it was no good to me with all it's HD "protection"
Don't make me buy a Draco...

i had one of the original et's before it was downgraded with the nz meheg5 software . the unit worked flawlessly but didnt have epg . i then recieved the later model loaded with the 27/9/08 meheg 5 update .
the timer function disapeared , chanell changing became slower, the unit freezes if left on tv 3 for too long, remote locks up, unit doesnt remember preference changes ie, setting tv3 audio from ac3 to aac, status bar used to show station resolution ie, 1080i and 720p etc.
whoever is writing this software ,and its not only the et that is affected , seems to be experimenting and applying band aids rather than writing good quality software that works,
i think that a lot of the curent crop of stb,s have good hardware but are being handicapted by poorly written middleware,

For those interested..
Heres a posting on the so called Extra Testicle Receiver.
I bought a few samples in myself a few months back, and so opened one up.
Havent had any probs with my models which is possibly due to differing Firmware revisions..

Anyway,, take a look inside.

Cost price per unit was just on $90 Us/Delivered.. Back when the Dollar was good too..

I haven't been able to wait - and splashed out on the eXtra Terrestrial - hoping that the promised PVR firmware happens eventually...

Just to share my research on what Freeview PVRs and potential PVRs are available- take a look my summary spreadsheet here http://www.findasensor.com/personal/pvr.htm

and the pdf including images here: http://www.findasensor.com/personal/pvr.pdf

All corrections, updates and additions welcomed.. perhaps I need to make this available as a Wiki so everyone can contribute? (Anyone know where/how to do this?)
