I live in Ashburton and use DVB-T to watch Freeview off Sugarloaf, with a standard UHF aerial and pre-amp in the ceiling

The picture was fine with only the very occasional pixelation of the picture.

For over a week now Freeview digital has been unwatchable, massive pixelation, screen freezes and 'signal lost' messages.

An acquaintance in the same area is having the same problem.

Heve kordia changed something?

I reckon it's been a bit pixely this week too - on all muxs. Is often a bit dodgy during Spring/Autumn...

What part of the town are you located vegas4, and what sort of aerial and lead do you run?

The deterioration that I am experiencing seems far worse than other changes of seasons.

East of Netherby. I've got a lot of trees nearby so I usually blame them!

Woops, I didn't answer your second question...

I've got a bog-standard medium gain Hills Yagi, with a solid-core RF cable. Nothing spectacular.

I tried an amp on it last year, but it had no effect, so I left it out.

I contacted TVNZ reception in Christchurch.

They noted my complaint and promised to pass my complaint to their technicians.

Here is the response from the technicians which the receptionist passed on to me;

"The Sugarloaf transmitter is operating correctly at full output and
there are no alarms from the site. Their suggestion would be for you
to check your antenna installation for possible wind or water damage."

A speedy and considered response from TVNZ.

Looks like a climb on to the roof.
