Octagon STB

Hi Folks
Has anyone had any experience with the Octagon STB ?
I bought one of those recently and I find there appears
to be what sounds like Switched mode power supply noises on the audio
this occurs on Freeview on D1 and Globecast C Band on AS 3 ,
which is al lthe box is used on


Has anyone noticed this ???

Hi Steve

I sell the 12/24 v SF218 model Octagon. I assume that the audio is turned up full via the remote as I have resolved several issues over the phone, where the volume has been inadvertently been turned down by another user when using the receiver. When powered up again, loads last setting values, including muted volume.

Just a suggestion. If this does not resolve your issue, contact the supplier. If he is any good he will sort it for you.

Yes volume via remote is on MAX
I have solved the issue to an acceptable level

I have wound the DC cable back up and cable tied it
and same with the mains ac cable also keep the
AV leads well away

I also note there is a C Tick on the receiver, but not on the
power supply that came with the unit supplier is aware of it
