EPG content missing

For years Sky seem to have ongoing issues with their EPG, with missing content and content that was there mysteriously disappearing. Ive also noticed similar issues with Freeview, with TV3 and C4 suffering more often than the others.

Anyone know why this is?

Maybe too many errors in the data stream at your setup.

Bit of a late reply to this one, but generally get a reliable EPG for the next week, daylight saving stuff-ups excluded! My MythTV box always grabs decent data for the available Freeview channels - though it's a shame some of the descriptions are lacking in places (e.g. a generic description for all programmes in the series, or just a duplicate of the programme's name)

And... it's a real shame that none of the generic DVB-S box manufacturers know how to implement a decent on-screen cross-channel EPG. All of them seem to suck!

I see it on my Sky box as well. Listing is currently unavailable or some such message.

I think it might relate to lack of ram in the STB?

Thanks for all the assistance - I now have a nice shiny backup of all of the user content on one of the axons 1 to go... Hopefully I will never have to use them...
