Hi all. I finally bit the bullet and brought a cheapo sat box of trademe last night. Currently have a quad-LNB (I think) on a sky dish pointed at D1, hooked up to MySky.

Was wondering, how often (if at all) do feeds, etc, pop up for a few hours on D1? Any common Freqs?

Wasn't planning on screwing with the dish, trying other sats, I'd rather buy a nice 90cm for that, although that might be a wee way off, considering I'm in a rental ATM.

d1 freq s are 12480/12456 H 22500, 12636V 5100, 12647V 12600

more common feeds 12670/12680V 7200, 12534/12545/12554V 12430V ALL COULD BE 5632/6111/6620/6670/7200 symbol rate

if you get another dish a 1.2m will get intel 5 for australia network, bbc. various feeds with room to hang a d1 lnb beside the c band lnb.

Right, looks like I'm going to have to dig deep for a 1.2m dish :(

freeviewshop has a 90cm Ku band for $75, a 1.2m C/Ku band for $250! Is it just me, or is that a little high?

Edit; I see satmax has 'em for $200, guess I'll start saving for that.

Huzzah! Got it today, after a bitch of a setup with the LNB, it works!

Getting SBS (thought they woulda moved that by now), Freeview, a few test channels, a ton of radio, and (interestingly) some unencrypted sky channels! Sure, it's only the bg music for MindGames and Weather, but still, I thought that they woulda enc'd that too. Now... feeds!

The background music has always been FTA.
I think Australia are playing the Paki's in a one dayer tomorrow so there might be a feed for that.

Well, I didn't find and cricket feeds, but around 7.30-8pm... yesterday I guess (doesn't feel like 3am), picked up quite a few aussie news feeds, mostly reporters on location, one whole broadcast too. Most of 'em were for 7 I think.

Interesting to see what reporters get up to in their spare time, saw one guy cursing at the guys faffing around in the background!

Good fun.

Seven still use Optus a lot for uplinks. There haven't really been a lot of feeds around lately to be honest.

Maybe you might want to check out here... http://www.vetrun.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=12

hi, has anyone had any experience with the Tevii S660 USB boxes before??

Read a few reviews about them and they seem pretty good . . found the manufactures site here http://www.tevii.com
