Has anyone had a play with one of these units from jayx.co.nz?

It handles an NDS Sky card (Irdeto also) and also FTA services e.g Freeview

I can just imagine Sky embracing this box..

SDTV only and of course it wont support Skys interactive games and ppv ordering etc.

I have an Octagon (which the Ferguson is a re-badge) that does all this. HD and Sky as well. Ain't a subscriber but did try it and seems OK.
Er, the Octagons ain't cheap if you were wondering......:eek:

Are you sure about it being a rebadge?

Hmm, nice website design...

I can't see VideoGuard support lasting long. While VideoGuard CAMs are appearing more and more, NDS will throw all they have at their current NZ setup (Sky boxes and Smart Cards) to block this. So, unless it is 100% compliant with the VideoGuard CAM (AFAIK most unofficial VideoGuard CAMs can't update the card, this is old info though, haven't looked it up in a while).

$190 too. If VideoGuard lasts on it, I can see this taking off.

It reads the new NDS2 cards from sky (red stripe and Mysky cards) not the NDS1 cards (blue,gold)
