I've just seen carriers come up on the Waiatarua transmitter.

570000
666000
Just trying to get a lock on what channels are present.

Looks like it is an temp carrier at the moment. It was there for 10-15 minutes and then dropped off again.
I'll post again when I manage to pull a channel listing.

Well the signal appears to be back up full time now and is advertising 12 channels.
I've included a xine/mplayer channels.conf file which includes the tuning information, and the v/a pids etc

At the moment the streams seem to be a little odd. For example within a DVB stream you can advertise the frequencies of other multiplexes. The Auckland test is advertising multiplexes that don't exist.
Also the video carrier is confusing mplayer which keeps thinking it is MPEG2 when infact it is H264.
Lastly there is currently an EIT stream on each of the multiplexes.

Ok managed to get playback to work under Linux, with a couple of remaining niggles due to the type of interlaced H.264 encoding they are using. A full write up can be found at http://www.mythtv.co.nz for those who are interested.

Hi Guy's,
I have just tried my USB DVB-T receiver and find I can get RADIO channels (5 x TVNZ, 2 x TV3, and 7 x reserved.)
All radio is fine but no video. It shows audio PIDs (580) but video PID n/a.
This maybe because the receiver can not decode MP4 as it worked fine in Aussie with MP2.

The Kordia multiplex has changed its layout so the Radio stations now show up as Reserved 6KSD and Reserver 5KSD
You will need a H.264 decoder on your PC to see the streams. The receiver doesn't decode the video stream itself, it simply passes the data stream to the PC.
