Have just bought a JCMathews HD unit. Has good sound on all channels but impossible to watch as the screen freezes or the images are heavily pixilated. The signal strength/quality indicator gives 89% and 99% respectively. I have replaced the UHF aerial but still have this problem. In direct line of sight with Waiatarua (Auckland). Have tried a factory reset and reloading the latest firmware. Any suggestions or is it a dud unit???

Could it be you have too much signal?

Does it have a diagnostic menu ?? can you advise the BER ( Bit error rate )

No diagnostic menu. Have just tried it at another house, they have a Sony iDTV (no problems with their reception) and it still would not work properly. Starting to think the unit is playing up.

Think I would return it for a different brand !!
