Nice pic! how come those towers are not heated in some way?

The damage done by all that ice can't be good for the tower?

It would take a huge amount of heating to have much effect on the tower
but in some cases the antenna radomes are heated to keep most of the ice and snow clear :D:D

and One News just had a story about it how the snow has cut the power to the TX

It will run on diesel for several days it will be the ones without standby power that will have flat batteries , like cell sites !!

Concrete and steel doesn't burn very well A week of sun would be a better idea :D:D:D
