European news channel EuroNews is now available over digital terrestrial television (DTT) in French-speaking Belgium, effective 30 November.
The offer is being launched by RTBF, a public radio and TV broadcaster in French-speaking Belgium and a EuroNews shareholder.
EuroNews is to be distributed in French alongside RTBF's three channels (La Une, La Deux and La Trois) and six radio stations (La Première, Vivacité, Classic 21, Musiq3, PureFM and BRF, the public German-language station).
RTBF's DTT offer covers 85 per cent of Belgium's French-speaking community, in the south of the country and in Brussels. Viewers near the Belgian border in France, the Netherlands and Luxembourg can also receive the Belgian DTT offer.
EuroNews is available on channel 56 in Brussels and central and western Wallonia, and on channel 66 in the east of the region.
EuroNews is distributed via DTT in nine other regions in Europe: Albania, Belgium, Estonia, Germany (Berlin and Frankfurt), Malta, Spain (Extremadura region), Sweden (country-wide on TV4 Fakta) and Switzerland (Valais canton).
