Looks a bit primitive I wonder how this compares to a specky.

This is the meter that the sky contractors use, they are a good meter, i used one for about nine years.edmond is only selling it because he had a falling out with sky,

Maybe so , but not in the same camp as a speccy

Correct to a point Kiwisteve.

But remember, 99.9% of members in this group or any other group would not even get near to owning a Speccy or even a Promax meter as mentioned earlier.
At the end of the day the promax is better than those inline meters that 99.9% of members of this group are using..Including probably the cheif moderator of this forum.

As an owner of a MC 360B, i can say ive been 100% happy with its operation.
Better than the latest Promax 5000 series speccy i looked at a few months back. What a peice of absolute shite it was.. Slow refresh rates, hopeless for peaking or cross pol nulling.. And with a price tag of $5k..

If Sky contractors use these how do they perform a proper cross polarity
null on D1 ???

Best way to null with these is to hit the 13 volt button
and go for the lowest reading.
This is also how sky get their carrier to noise readings
not very accurate but all techs use the same meter so
good for refrence

Hi Kiwisteve.

Or to put it another way, How do you Cross Pol Null with an inline meter ?.
One of those that 99.9% use in this and other forums.
